I visited three Abbeys, two Cold War era museums/bunkers and also learned about steel production in Poland during the mid 20th Century. On a cultural note, I also enjoyed attending a Polish Gospel choir concert. Although not directly related to the Holocaust, the remnaments of The Cold War in the 1950s are noteworthy as Poland essentially felt the brunt of two international conflicts one right after the other. While The Cold War did not impact the Jewish community in Poland as World War Two had, it made recovery efforts more challenging for all living in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe.
